SB 250 – Medi-Cal: Provider Directory: Skilled Nursing Facilities March 18, 2025 This bill adds skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) to the existing managed care provider directory administered by the Department of Health Care Services.
SB 270 – Recall Elections: Notice of Intention: Published Information March 18, 2025 This bill requires the published copy of the notice of intention to omit the proponents’ signatures and addresses and requires an elections officials or the Secretary of State to redact the same information before releasing it to the public.

SB 687 – Direct Access to Animal Chiropractic Care March 20, 2025 This bill allows licensed and certified Doctors of Chiropractic to adjust animals without the direct supervision of a veterinarian.
SB 732 – Emergency Backup Generators: Critical Facilities: Exemptions March 18, 2025 This bill permits a critical facility to use a permitted emergency backup generator in exceedance of the applicable runtime and testing and maintenance limits if specified conditions are met. Critical facilities include hospitals, police stations, fire stations, emergency operations centers, water and wastewater facilities, incident command posts, and communication systems used to support essential public services.
SB 794 – Court Cases: Access and Use of Juvenile Case Files March 18, 2025 This bill clarifies and streamlines the process for parents and attorneys to obtain, share, and use child welfare documents, and expands access to those documents, while continuing to ensure that the public does not have access to this information.

SB 63: County Grant Programs for Collaborative Courts and Re-Entry January 26, 2023 Creates two grant programs: (1) a grant program to help counties establish or expand collaborative mental health and homeless courts and (2) a grant program for counties to institute re-entry services for jail inmates at risk of becoming homeless upon release.
SB 65: Investment in Essential Mental Health Bed Capacity January 26, 2023 To fully close the mental health bed and workforce deficit, Senate Bill 65 will appropriate $1 billion from the General Fund annually for the next three years to continue building out essential county mental health bed capacity across the entire spectrum of need.
SB 89: Stalking and Animal Cruelty January 26, 2023 Amends Penal Code 646.9 to make a person guilty of stalking if the person has the intent to harm or the intent to place under surveillance for the purpose of harming another person, and engages in conduct that either places that person in reasonable fear of death or serious bodily injury to themselves, a close family member, or a pet, service animal, emotional support animal, or horse that belongs to that person, or causes, attempts to cause, or would be reasonably expected to cause substantial emotional distress to one of the above.

SB 454: Early Distribution Penalty Waiver for Survivors of Domestic Abuse March 22, 2023 Senate Bill 454 will waive the early distribution (i.e., withdrawal) penalty for a retirement plan or account in cases where the individual is a victim of domestic abuse or experiencing a financial emergency.
SB 722: Early Learning and Childcare Incidental Medical Services March 22, 2023 SB 722 would require the Department of Social Services (DSS) to create an Incidental Medical Service Plan (IMSP) template so children with disabilities can attend an early learning and childcare (ELC) program in a timely manner.
SB 730: Home Care Aides March 22, 2023 Senate Bill 730 would clarify existing law relating to the duties of a home care aide (HCA).
SB 778: Updates and Improvements to the "Call Before You Dig" Law March 22, 2023 SB 778 adds non-pressurized sewer lines and storm drains to the definition of “subsurface installation.” It also makes a number of technical and functional changes to the “Call Before You Dig” Law. These technical and functional changes originated from Common Ground Alliance, an industry working group that specializes in this policy area.
SB 807: Transparency and Accountability for Adoption Facilitators March 22, 2023 Senate Bill 807 would help ensure adoption facilitators are held accountable by making information currently collected by the state publicly available.
SB 889 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists February 2, 2022 SB 889 will allow Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to hold their own permit to provide general anesthesia and deep sedation in a dental office. If dentists chose to have an anesthesia provider in their practice, this permit allows all anesthesia professionals in California to hold their own permit.
SB 937 – Efficient Delivery of Business Subpoenas March 31, 2022 SB 937 will modernize the service of business records subpoenas by allowing for delivery by facsimile transmission, overnight delivery, or electronic means if the subpoenaed party consents. It will also allow two extra days for compliance if one of these methods is used.
SB 1031 – Reduce Inactive License Fees March 31, 2022 Senate Bill 1031 will require healing arts boards under the Department of Consumer Affairs to reduce their renewal fee for inactive licenses to no more than half of the fee for renewal of an active license, unless the board establishes a lower fee.
SB 1054 Multi-Disciplinary Teams Information Sharing March 31, 2022 Senate Bill 1054 clarifies that county Adult Protective Services staff and Child Welfare Services staff can disclose information with each other for the purposes of work related to prevention, intervention, management or treatment of child abuse or neglect, or the abuse or neglect of elder or dependent adults. The measure will allow the entities to disclose information without sharing the case file.
SB 1113 – Removing Barriers to Inclusion in the General Education Classroom March 31, 2022 Senate Bill 1113 will promote the inclusion of students with disabilities in general education classrooms by addressing and implementing inclusionary practices through an updated guidebook, a mandated review for the consideration of inclusionary practices in textbooks, funding technical assistance providers, a study to determine proper staffing numbers to achieve best practices, and mandating training in inclusive practices for new school administrators.
SB 1192 – Design Contractors March 31, 2022 SB 1192 clarifies that design professionals (engineers, architects, etc.) are included amongst those who may substitute an alternative security in lieu of having retention payments withheld when contracting with a state agency on a public works project.
SB 1279 – Guardian Ad Litem March 31, 2022 SB 1279 will strengthen and codify several aspects of guardian ad litem appointments that often occur informally or without clear guidance for litigants and their lawyers. This bill will also resolve ambiguities in the statutes as to who constitutes as an “incapacitated person” for whom a guardian ad litem may be appointed. Through these clarifications, the courts will better ensure that those provided a guardian ad litem are properly represented and protected in pending litigation.
SB 1289 – Equal Opportunity for Enrichment Programs March 31, 2022 Senate Bill 1289 will expand the exemption for licensure requirements as specified in Health and Safety Code Section 1596.792 for public recreation programs to apply to private recreation programs.
SB 1298 – Mental Health Bed Capacity March 31, 2022 In order to fully close the mental health bed and workforce deficit, SB 1298 will continuously appropriate at least $1 billion from the General Fund annually to continue building out essential county mental health bed capacity across the entire spectrum of need.
SB 1312 – Car Rental Marketplace Facilitators March 31, 2022 SB 1312 seeks to harmonize California’s marketplace facilitator law with current practice by clearly identifying the marketplace seller as the tax-responsible party in car rental transactions facilitated by an online travel company. These changes are necessary to avoid further complications in the tax-compliance processes for car rental bookings.
SB 1345 – Updates and Improvement to the “Call Before You Dig” Law March 31, 2022 SB 1345 will fully integrate all underground utilities into the “Call Before You Dig” Law by adding Caltrans as a utility operator under the state’s two regional subsurface utility notification centers and by adding non-pressurized sewer lines and storm drains to the definition of “subsurface installation.” This will increase the safety of excavators who need to dig in areas that contain subsurface installations. It will also serve to protect Caltrans-operated utilities and non-pressurized sewer lines. It also makes a number of technical/functional changes to the “Call Before You Dig” Law.
SB 1379 – Expand Authority for Pharmacists to Perform Remote Functions March 31, 2022 Senate Bill 1379 would permanently extend the authority granted during the emergency for a prescriber, a prescriber’s authorized agent, or a pharmacist to electronically enter a prescription or order from outside of a pharmacy or hospital to include prescriptions for controlled substances classified in Schedules II, III, IV, or V. It would also authorize a pharmacist to perform various specified services remotely, on behalf of a pharmacy located in California and under the written authorization of a pharmacist-in-charge.
SB 1427 - County Grant Programs for Collaborative Courts and Re-Entry March 17, 2022 SB1427 would create two grant programs in order to get individuals with mental illness and homeless individuals the care they need and to promote rehabilitation and housing stability.
SB 1453 – Speech-Language Pathologist Practice Efficiency March 17, 2022 Senate Bill 1453 clarifies that a speech-language pathologist (SLP) must receive written verification from certified ENT regarding procedures.
SB 276 Earned Income Tax Credit 2020 Credit Calculation March 31, 2021 SB 276 supports low-to-moderate income working families who qualify for CalEITC by authorizing taxpayers to choose between their 2019, 2020 and 2021 incomes when filing for the credit.
SB 336 COVID-19 72 Hour Notification March 31, 2021 SB 336 ensures that our local communities are aware of any changes to the state or local public health orders by requiring them to be posted to relevant websites and emailed out on distribution lists.
SB 412 Emergency Definition: Mitigation of Future Emergencies March 31, 2021 SB 412 updates the definition of “emergency” found within the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the Public Resources Code to include pre-emptive measures to prevent subsequent emergency situations. This will help protect life, health, property, and essential public services from damage and loss that may be caused by the initial emergency.
SB 601 First-Time Home Buyer Opportunity Act March 31, 2021 SB 601 incentivizes homeowners to sell their homes to first-time buyers by increasing the capital gains exclusion on homes sold to first-time buyers from $250,000 to $300,000 for single filers and from $500,000 to $600,000 for married couples filing jointly.
SB 657 Electronic Notices for Telecommuting Businesses March 31, 2021 SB 657 authorizes businesses who have employees that are working from home or telecommuting to receive specific employment-related documents electronically.
SB 675 Monthly Property Tax Installments March 31, 2021 SB 675 authorize a County Board of Supervisors to implement a program allowing taxpayers who are 62 years of age or older, or who receive supplemental security income to pay their property taxes in monthly installments rather than in two payments per year.
SB 681 School Resource Officers March 31, 2021 SB 681 authorizes a school resource officer, school district police or security department to take child abuse reports as a mandated reporter.
SB 683 Local Collaboration in Regionalized Water Permitting March 31, 2021 SB 683 provide a collaborative environment for municipal separate storm sewer system regional permitting. This will afford the opportunity for permittees who are responsible for implementation and oversight of the proposed permit to participate in the development of said permit in order to lessen financial impacts on existing programs and processes established by the permittees in their respective area.
SB 720 Funding for Domestic Violence Assistance Programs March 31, 2021 SB 720 authorizes recipients of Domestic Violence Assistance Program funding, or any future program implementing California Penal Code Section 13823.15, receive the entirety of the state’s portion of the grant funding at the beginning of the grant period.
SB 725 Parent Participation Preschool Pilot Program March 31, 2021 SB 725 seeks to support preschool programs that are specifically designed to help parents and caregivers learn how to support their child’s learning and development through the parent’s weekly participation in the classroom and educational classes.
