SB 588 – Freestanding Emergency Departments: Study

This bill would require a study to evaluate the feasibility of freestanding emergency departments (FEDs) in rural and underserved areas. A FED is a licensed facility that is structurally separate and distinct from a hospital and provides emergency care.
