Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh marks 81st town hall meeting

Thanks community for showing up, speaking out, and listening in

At the end of 2025, Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh (R-Yucaipa) hosted her 81st town hall meeting in Trona, demonstrating her strong commitment to community engagement throughout Senate District 19.The event drew residents, city leaders, and local stakeholders to talk directly about the issues impacting them such as public safety, education, infrastructure, housing, and more.

The senator thanked all who made time to attend, including city officials, volunteers, and constituents. “These town halls aren’t just meetings, they’re a vital part of the democratic process,” Ochoa Bogh said. “I deeply appreciate every resident who participated and every city leader who helped make this possible. This is what public service should look like. It is my commitment to transparency and accountability.”

She also spoke about the importance of the respectful dialogue of ideas, especially when views differ. “We’re not going to agree 100% of the time and that’s ok. It’s imperative that we step out of our silos and echo chambers if we are to solve long-standing issues and focus on good governance.”

City leaders from across Senate District 19 offered praise for the senator’s ongoing commitment to accessibility and communication:

“Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh does more than speak. She shows up and stands with our community, and that level of presence and honesty makes a meaningful difference. Thank you, Senator, for taking the time to speak with our community and encourage engagement.

Dr. Kimberly Cox, General Manager, Helendale Community Service District

“It was a true pleasure to welcome the Senator to the Cathedral City Senior Center. She engaged directly with residents on everything from the cost of living and housing pressures to how families can talk with their children about homelessness and stay active in shaping a stronger community. She also offered clear insight into how state government works and how neighbors can make their voices heard. Her openness made everyone feel comfortable, and many residents told me afterward how grateful they were for the conversation and how eager they are to have her back.”

Nancy Ross, Mayor, Cathedral City

“I would like to thank our Senator for her ongoing efforts to stay engaged with our community through her regular town hall meetings. These gatherings are always informative, offering clear updates on the work being done in the legislature. They help us understand how we, as residents, can stay actively involved in shaping the future of our community. Most importantly, they highlight how upcoming decisions may impact our daily lives in meaningful ways.”

Penny Lilburn, Mayor, City of Highland

These voices echo what many in the district have expressed: Senator Ochoa Bogh’s consistent, in-person engagement is making a lasting difference in building trust between local government and the people it serves.
