Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh (R-Yucaipa) proudly announced that New Hope Village, Inc. has been selected as the 2026 Nonprofit of the Year in recognition of the organization’s longstanding commitment to helping individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency through safe and affordable housing programs.
“New Hope Village, Inc. exemplifies the spirit of service and compassion that strengthens our communities,” said Senator Ochoa Bogh. “Their work goes beyond providing housing. They empower individuals and families with the skills, support, and encouragement needed to create lasting change in their lives. I am honored to recognize them as the 2026 Nonprofit of the Year.”
Founded in 1999 and officially established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2001, New Hope Village, Inc. has dedicated more than two decades to serving motivated individuals and families in need, including those experiencing homelessness. Through its programs, the organization provides not only housing, but also the tools and guidance necessary to help residents build stable and independent lives.

Since opening our doors in 1999, New Hope Village, Inc. has remained committed to providing ‘A Hand Up NOT A Hand Out’ by helping individuals and families build stable, independent futures through safe housing, life skills education, and community support. This recognition reflects the hard work of our staff, volunteers, supporters, and residents who inspire us every day,” said Angela Pasco, Executive Director of New Hope Village, Inc. “We would also like to dedicate this honor to Frances Kramlich, our honorary board member, whose unwavering support and commitment to New Hope Village has been present since the organization’s inception. Her compassion, generosity, and belief in our mission helped shape the foundation of who we are today.”
New Hope Village’s programs focus on teaching responsibility, integrity, budgeting, life skills, time management, and community service. By combining housing support with practical life education, the organization helps residents transition toward long-term stability and independence.
This recognition is part of a larger celebration of CalNonprofits’ “California Nonprofits Day”. The recognition as a Nonprofit of the Year brings deserved attention to outstanding nonprofits while illustrating the remarkable diversity and vibrancy of California's nonprofit community.
