Sacramento – Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh (R-Yucaipa) released the following statement in response to the California Public Health Department publishing its guidance to allow youth and recreational sports to resume on February 26.
“As a mother of three student athletes, I know firsthand the important role youth sports plays in the lives of our children. Youth participation in sports is linked to many positive socio-cultural experiences, including a boost to self-esteem, confidence, and overall well-being. I am happy to see the Governor is finally following his own advice and siding with science. I hope he continues to leave the game playing to our youth.”
Senator Ochoa Bogh has been an early supporter of the “Let Them Play” call to action.
